The National Trust is recruiting a shepherd.
Both are trying to do the same thing: let you know that the National Trust is hiring a shepherd.
But the effect is considerably different. The text conveys one thing – there is a job at the National Trust.
The image, on the other hand, conveys so much more.
Images tell a story (an image paints a 1,000 words and all that) and social media enables us to share images easily which means we should all be thinking about how we can use images to create and share engaging stories.
