Haven’t updated my job search posts for some time. Well, now there is some news I thought this would be a good time to share what’s going on.

Over the last couple of months I have been doing some freelance work for Bill Boorman‘s Tru unconference events and also for Ecom Digital – run by Keith Robinson and Mark Powney.

I have really enjoyed the work – I have been providing Ecom with consultancy and Tru with content. That’s not all – I also provided event coverage for the Social Media in Recruitment Conference and The Big M mobile conference.

So, it has been busy and enjoyable and I have happy clients. And to add to this I am now going to be acting editor at Training Zone for the next six months, starting in May.

This is very exciting for me as I am a trainer (that’s one part of what I do) and am particularly interested in how social media tools are changing the way we can create and deliver training content.

The contract is four days a week so I will also be able to continue with other projects, which is really great.

The big shift for me in all of this is that I am freelance. Never thought this is what I would be doing but that’s what is happening. And I am really enjoying it. It has also opened up opporunities, such as the Training Zone role, which I would not previously have been able to go for.

So, if you wondered why I am building pages on this site such as ‘Services‘ then now you know!

I’ve always admired Sift Media (who publish Training Zone) so am looking forward to getting started.
