Search on ‘death of SEO‘ and you will see a very long stream of thoughts on why search engine optimisation is dead.

Can this be true, especially as Google is adding more breadth to its real time search results?

I don’t think so. Google is a recommendation engine which votes up popular and relevant content. Social networks add a layer of person to person recommendation. Together they provide an even more powerful search, or rather ‘find’ experience.

After all, however we search (via people, Google or both) – the intent is to find something.
